Day 3: Manali – Rohtang – Chandartal

  • Early morning pickup from Manali Hotel and head for keylong, driving across Rohtang Pass (13050 ft) and reached to Chandartal.
    Chandratal Lake is often referred to as one of the most beautiful lakes located at an altitude of about 4300 m in the mighty Himalayas. The name “Chandra Taal” (Lake of the Moon) comes from its crescent shape. Once a tentative residence for Tibetan traders traveling to Spiti and the Kullu valley, it attracts thousands of adventure enthusiasts from all over the world. Vast stretches of green meadows house the best camping sites and an array of different wildflowers during springtime. Legend has that it lies in the vicinity of a place from where God Indra’s chariot picked up Yudhishthira, the eldest of Pandava brothers in Mahabharata. This fact renders the lake sacred and thus, is flocked by a lot of Hindu devotees. The colour of water of this holy lake keeps changing from reddish to orange to blue to emerald green as the day ends. The lake is also a part of the Samudra Tapu plateau which overlooks the Chandra river. The trek from Batal to Chandratal can be quite a tedious trail for those who are going to trek, but the captivating views and charm of the place will be worth it. One can break free from daily monotonous routines here and experience real nomadic life. Nestled between the hills and mountains of the Peerpanjal range, sight of this lake’s brimming beauty is truly a feast for the eyes. you will have 2km trek at Chandartal and check in camps. Day 5: Keylong – Sarchu

  • After breakfast leave for Sarchu. An important stopover on the Leh-Manali highway, Sarchu lies on the boundary of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an elevation of just over 14,500 ft between the Himalayan mountain passes of Baralacha La and Lachlung La, Sarchu is of great importance mainly due to its location on the Leh-Manali highway. Sarchu, also known as Sir Bhum Chun, closely resembles Ladakh with its barren splendor and is a beehive of activity between May and September when the snow melts and the Leh-Manali highway is open for traffic. An important trading point in the ancient Silk Route, Sarchu is still a hot favorite with traders, nomadic tribes and adventure seekers. Between May and September, Sarchu becomes the starting point for treks to Zanskar in Ladakh. A trip to Sarchu has its own challenges; altitude sickness being the foremost among them. Travelers often ascend from lower altitude to acclimatize to the rarefied atmosphere; traveling from Keylong and traveling up to Sarchu is the preferred route. Day 6: Sarchu Leh (255 Kms)

  • After early breakfast leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Lachalung-la Pass (16,617 ft.). Break for lunch at Pang and then drive on towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and then crossing Taglang-La (17,585ft) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening.

Day 8: Leh – Excursion To Sham Valley – Leh

  • After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. And start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian, and proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity & further Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the Confluence Of The Indus And Zanskar River. After visiting above places we drive back to Leh enroute visiting Spituk Monastery, Built in 15th century during the reign of Grags ‘bum-lde, these new Gelug-pa monastery was built like fortress on the summit of crags.

Day 9: Leh to Kargil

  • After leisurely breakfast drive down the Indus Valley on the first leg of your journey to Kargil & Srinagar. On the way, visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point, Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers) and then the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic complex famous for its wall frescoes and architecture – a UNESCO listed heritage site. Continue drive towards Kargil, enroute visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining “Moonland” hills. On the way to Kargil you can view the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th – 8th century AD).

Day 10: Kargil Sonmarg Srinagar

  • On arrival at Srinagar airport or bus station, our representative will meet you. on the way sightseeing of Sonmarg. Sonmarg plainly translated means ‘Meadow of Gold’. It is a flower laden meadow in between the imposing Himalayan range that boasts of wafting scents of fir and pine forests. Sonmarg is a popular base for trekking to nearby locales and is as much a preferred family destination as it is for the adventure enthusiasts. The Indus River offers fresh trout and mahaseer (freshwater carp fish) and glistening rapids for whitewater rafting. The Thajiwas valley at the foot of Sonmarg offers plenty of camping sites and picnic spots with mighty white glaciers set against the lush green meadow. Pilgrims throng Baltal, 13 kilometres from Sonmarg for the annual pilgrimage of Amarnath. Half-hour drive from Sonmarg is the curious Kheer Bhawani Temple where locals believe that the natural spring surrounding the temple at times changes colour. Sonmarg allows you to experience different types of weather in a single day – a sunny morning, rainy afternoon and a cold evening. With displaying your name card and transfer to your houseboat. Day 1: Arrival at Leh Airport + Acclimitization Only

  • Arrival at Leh Airport, you will be received & welcomed by our Representative before proceeding for Hotel Check-in. Since you have arrived by air, we strictly advise to relax & acclimitize with Leh weather & altitude. Take full day rest & gear up for upcoming journeys.    

Day 2: Trip to Khardungla with Leh Local Sightseeing

  • After Breakfast, get ready to hike World’s Highest Motorable Road – Khardungla (5359m). Touch the summit, have a cup of Tea, get clicked & return to Leh. Later visit Leh Palace, Shey & thiksey Monastery during the day. You may like ti visit Shanti Stupa in the evening.   
  • Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 3: Leh – Pangong/Spangmik – Leh- return via Hemis & 3 Idiots School (2 Days) Day 1 of 2

  • After Breakfast, check out from Leh & proceed for one of the most beautiful & scenic, Salt water Pangong Lake at Spangmik via Changla Pass (17350 ft). Various Bollywood movies have been shot at this lake. One-Third of this lake is controlled by India & rest of the two-third lies under Chinese province.

Day 4: Leh – Pangong/Spangmik – Leh – return via Hemis & 3 Idiots School (2 Days) Day 2 of 2

Day 5: Departure from Leh – Airport Drop
